Omnissa has recently rolled out powerful updates to Workspace ONE UEM, bringing stronger security, broader OS support, faster deployments and expanded automation. Here’s a quick look at what’s new — and how Tech Orchard can help you take full advantage.
Apple security just got a major upgrade
New support for Managed Device Attestation on iOS, iPadOS and macOS uses Apple’s Secure Enclave to verify device integrity, helping IT detect compromised or spoofed devices automatically. UEM can then take policy-driven action, such as restricting access or wiping the device.
Also new: Apple’s Return to Service (RTS) workflow. Ideal for shared devices, RTS lets you wipe, re-enroll and reset a device in one step — no manual setup needed. Perfect for industries like healthcare, education and retail.
And now, when you enterprise wipe or delete a device, UEM can also release it from Apple Business Manager (ABM), streamlining offboarding and device repurposing.
Freestyle Orchestrator: Automation without scripting
The Freestyle Orchestrator is now generally available for iOS and Android. This drag-and-drop, low-code tool enables you to build logic-based workflows that automate onboarding, app deployments and compliance enforcement without writing a single line of code.
You can even publish workflows to the Intelligent Hub so users can trigger self-service actions like fixing Wi-Fi or reinstalling apps, reducing help desk requests and speeding up resolution times.
Expanded support for Windows — including servers
Windows 11 management continues to improve with features like Config Refresh, which enforces policies every 30 minutes instead of every 8 hours, minimizing drift and boosting compliance.
Even more exciting: Windows Server support is in beta, meaning you’ll soon be able to manage both workstations and servers from a single pane of glass. That includes policy enforcement, software distribution and analytics, all within UEM.
Faster, smarter console experience
Thanks to backend architecture improvements, apps and profiles now deploy up to 10× faster. A new deployment dashboard gives real-time status updates and ETA tracking for pushes, making it easier to troubleshoot and monitor deployments.
The UEM admin console has also been refreshed to match Omnissa’s new design, with a more intuitive UI and simplified workflows.
