Happy President’s Day! If you’re a member of our Air Force, you may soon be greeted with an iPad replacement for your flight computation gear. After the FAA approved iPads in cockpits for commercial airliners last year, it seems our men and women in blue want in on the action, too. Just recently, the Air Force released an RFP for an “iPad 2 or Equal” tablet device to be used as a replacement for current in-cockpit flight tools. The short time frame for spec-response tells you they really want iPads.
You can bet they’ll be locking these tablets down with a Mobile Device Management solution.
