Local Kansas City charter school Cristo Rey has joined the ranks of schools on the cutting edge of education technology. Cristo Rey was recently featured on KCTV5 for its use of Garage Band in a special class for music creation. Cristo Rey is the first such school to take such a specialized and deliberate approach to technology in the classroom.
Cristo Rey will be deploying 400 iPads in a one-to-one program this coming school year, and will have placed an iPad in the hands of every teacher and every student come this fall. TechOrchard has been selected as the school’s mobility partner in this endeavor and will be assisting Cristo Rey in deployment, provisioning, and training of the students and teachers on the iPads!
In addition to the iPad deployment, Cristo Rey will be one of the first schools in the country to use Fiberlink’s MaaS360 platform to fully provision and manage security on the iPads.
