My span of 40+ years as an entrepreneur has taught me many lessons, including the obvious and yet sometimes harsh truth: Change is inevitable. In our industry in particular, change is happening at a breakneck pace, pushing IT professionals to capitalize on new opportunities while proactively working to circumvent identified and potential threats. It’s certainly not for the faint of heart!

When thinking about mobile device security, enterprise mobility management and the evolution of the digital workspace, we’ve come along way in the decade and a half since the Tech Orchard doors opened. Mobile device usage in the workplace was in its infancy stages. Little did we known we’d quickly witness the rise in popularity of a diverse device fleet of employee-owned and company-owned devices with a whole host of privacy and security concerns to navigate in a mobile-first, hybrid business world.

In the last two years, we’ve seen and supported customers in numerous industries as the rise in popularity of Microsoft InTune and Jamf has increased. Meanwhile, VMware’s Workspace ONE and Horizon have continued to lead the industry in innovation. Tech Orchard has dramatically expanded its and support while strengthening our positioning as a trusted industry resource from deployment and policy placement through ongoing white glove service and technology strategy refinement. Our team of experts has participating in continued education and earned numerous licenses, earning our company the prestigious VMware Master Services Competency in the Digital Workspace.

On November 22, Broadcom announced that it completed its acquisition of VMware. As a result, some internal infrastructure, people and processes will change. In response, our team is prepared and well positioned to help you navigate these changes as seamlessly as possible. While change, by nature, can be both exhausting and exhilarating, our goal is continue providing you the kind of support you’re accustomed to, leveraging our position as a VMWare enterprise partner to smooth out any wrinkles as the technology and your business needs continue to evolve.

Through my personal and professional experiences, I’ve come to believe that facing change with hope and optimism is paramount to taking care of my customers, my team and myself. This isn’t a blind embrace of optimism; rather, it involves actively seeking new opportunities within the shifting landscape.

I believe that as an industry we will continue to confront new challenges with passion, innovation and creativity to not only adapt but thrive. Personally, my faith in God and the wisdom gleaned from observing other leaders have been my source of hope — something I believe is essential for nourishing the human spirit.

Irrespective of the hurdles and challenges you encounter, placing trust in your faith, relying on the support of partners and family looking out for your best interests, and drawing upon your inner strength will guide you forward with a resiliency.
