Core 7.5.1.0
The Core 7.5.1.0 maintenance release includes the following updates:
New Features
Wi-Fi proxy provisioning for Windows Phone 8.1 — Added support for Windows Phone 8.1 devices to connect to Wi-Fi networks using a proxy server, providing more security options for enterprises and enabling Wi-Fi connection for device users without direct connection to the internet.
Prevent simple passwords for Windows Phone 8.1 — Added a new security preference to prevent device users from using simple passwords such as 1234 or 1111, providing more security options for enterprises.
Fixed Issues
Static labels not displaying assigned devices — Static labels with more than 800 devices assigned to them did not display the assigned devices in Core 7.5.0. This is now fixed.
Duplicate LDAP group records impacted LDAP group updates — Duplicate records in an LDAP group resulted in issues with updating the LDAP group information. This is now fixed.
Improper exporting of Reporting Database for security_detail property for Android devices — In previous releases, the Reporting Database export did not handle the security_detail property for Android devices correctly. This is now fixed.
Unable to import VPP apps from IE9 browser — In a previous release, attempts to import VPP apps were not successful if the Admin Portal was running in the IE9 browser. This is now fixed.
Failure to receive AppConnect app configurations — Previously, Core could generate multiple SCEP certificates and fail to send AppConnect app configurations to Mobile@Work. The system will now use the latest SCEP certificate if multiple exist for the app configuration.
Security
- GHOST: glibc vulnerability — This release contains the glibc upgrade to address the “GHOST” CVE-2015-0235 vulnerability. See the knowledge base article for more details.
Sentry
- Action Source not showing Exchange when device blocked — Previously, with Integrated Sentry, the Action Source did not show Exchange when a device was blocked on the Exchange server. This is now fixed.
- Retired and Active-Sync blocked devices with access to ActiveSync — Upon upgrade to Core 7.5.0, some devices that were manually blocked and retired prior to the upgrade could re-register with the Core and access the ActiveSync server. This is now fixed.
Windows Phone 8.1
- Search import form issue for Windows Phone 8.1 specific apps — “Windows Store Import” was unable to search for select apps available only for Windows Phone 8.1 version. This is now fixed.
- F5 SSL VPN plugin issue for Windows Phone 8.1 — Updated the VPN Plugin for F5 SSL VPN with the correct unique application ID to ensure successful provisioning of VPN profiles to Windows Phone 8.1 devices.
MobileIron Connected Cloud customers will be notified of their Connected Cloud instance upgrade schedule upon it’s availability.
