It looks as if Airwatch will be flexing its new-found muscles next year at the Mobile World Conference. Airwatch, one of the upper-tier Mobile Device Management (MDM) providers, has reserved around 20,000 square feet (that’s 6,096 square meters for the rest of the civilized world) in the convention center. The company is reserving the space to offer a broad range of educational sessions and security workshops. Included in Airwatch’s stated plans are:
- 70 sessions and workshops
- Customer panels
- C-level exec-tracks
- App and Document management workshops
- security and device management workshops
This should be an excellent opportunity to get a deep-dive into the world of not just mobility and security, but the mobile worker as a paradigm shift in productivity.
Will you be attending next year? The majority of the top-tier MDM providers (Fiberlink, Airwatch and MobileIron) will have significantly increased presences compared to 2012. It’s definitely an indicator of the shift toward mobility as the core of business production, not just an enhancing attribute.
