1. Mobile IT Strategy Will Be Considered in Strategic Planning: Key Stakeholders in organizations will see Mobile Strategy as KEY to the overall corporate business strategy…. Gartner recently released a report agreeing.

2. Privacy and Security for BYOD Will Be Top Concern for the Chief Information Officer: Data breaches and intrusion have not been seriously addressed by organizations, and will continue to “keep CIO’s up at night”.

3. Companies Will Start Considering a Mobile First Approach: Accessing data from mobile devices continue to increase and companies will build marketing, communication, and information for mobile first, then other delivery methods second.

4. Leveraging MDM, MAM, EMM Platforms More Effectively: Companies that have integrated a Mobile Device Management platform (i.e. AirWatch, MobileIron, Maas360, etc.) are finding them more difficult to manage and use effectively. Companies will look for ways to leverage the platform for increased security, device management and productivity.

5. Mobile Training Will Be a New Focus: Although smartphones and tablets are fairly intuitive, individual skills falls short when using them for “work and productivity”. Training employees on-site and online will change employee satisfaction and productivity when using mobile.

6. Multiple Mobile OS’s Will Be Considered: Companies will accept and look how different mobile operation systems (OS’s) such as Apple, Google and Microsoft can best accomplish corporate goals. Although Apple dominates the mobile world, Microsoft still dominates the business world, and Android is increasing in its popularity among mobile users. Companies will evaluate and use the best mobile device for each application.

7. Cloud File Storage Platforms Will Increase In Usage for Mobile: Being connected to data means secure and easy access. BOX, Dropbox, SharePoint and others will continue to be leveraged by the mobile user to communicate, collaborate and access important data.
